Koshy Abraham, MD

Dr. Koshy AbrahamDr. Koshy Abraham is a board certified nephrologist who completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX in 1992. He also received a Masters in Business Administration from Florida Tech University in 2014. He completed his internal medicine residency program at Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama in 1995 and was the Chief Medical Resident for one year thereafter. He attended the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL for his nephrology fellowship from 1996-1998. He did a Renal Transplant Fellowship from 1998-1999.

During his career, he has held several positions. In addition to practicing as a Nephrologist at a private practice for 15 years in South Carolina, he was a Clinical Renal Transplant Instructor for the University of Florida in 1998, worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine for 15 years, was an Assistant Program Director for the Providence Hospitalist Program, served as a covering nephrologist for Dialysis at Sea, and was the Medical Director for Regency Hospice. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation and American Society of Transplantation.

His interests in the nephrology field include transplantation, managing patients on dialysis, and caring for patients in the acute care setting. He grew up in Nederland, TX. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with family, hit the gym, watch sports, and attend church. He is happily married and has two sons.
